“Why?” Turq’s tone was abrupt, sharp.

“I just… I have to. I don’t know.”

“Because you run. All you do is run. You ran away from home and ended up here, and now that you’re here you have to run away again. Can’t you just accept that sometimes life hands you things you need to face? Why can’t you just stay with me?”

“It’s not like that…” The anger and hurt in his eyes was too much for her to bear.

“No, it’s EXACTLY like that. You can’t accept that there might be a place for you. You can’t accept that someone might actually WANT you to stick around. Well then, go. Run. See if I chase after you again.”

With that she turned and ran, while Turq felt his heart drop into his stomach.

“I ran…” Elaie concentrated hard on her marshmallows, forcing the memories of those horrifying eyes to the back of her mind.

“Oh.” They sat in a moment of silence.

“How about you?”

“I opened a door I wasn’t supposed to.”

“That’s awfully vague. Care to elaborate?”

He barked a laugh. “I don’t know what there is to say. I mean, I was working at the hospital, went down a hall in the basement, opened the door… Let’s just say I was prying.”

“… What’s a hospital?”

He shot her a confused look before remembering she wasn’t from his time. “It’s a building dedicated to getting people to feel better.”

“Were you important?”

“Berry no; I was just a resident… I mean, I was still learning.”

“Oh.” She poked at the fire, then smiled up at him. “Well I’m glad we’re both here. I’m glad we met.”

He grinned back. “Me too.”

Even in broad daylight, monsters can prowl.

They stick to the shadows though, keeping clear of the sun’s rays. The clacking and growling growing closer and closer, no matter how far you run, until they’re right behind you. You turn around…

Some say there’s an Afterlife; a place where all, regardless of species, go to wait for the day of judgement. There’s no recollection of past; all is washed away until the appointed hour.

At least, that’s what the Elven elders taught before Elaie Varlashin ran, incurring the wrath of some horrific being; all only to find herself in some distant land beyond the boundaries of any map. Something told her this wasn’t the Afterlife; she had her memories.

Then who was this standing over her? Better question: where was she?

This tutorial - like the title says - is for Mac users.

First and foremost, download this mod. It’s called NRaas NoCD and basically does exactly what it says, allows you to play the game without the CD.

Since a certain patch number, all patches have been to the base game and haven’t mattered…

Iris is no wild child; she is quiet and dainty. She loves a good book in a cozy corner with a spot of tea on a Saturday night. Most people and most jokes breeze right past her, but she’s just so cute, how could you mind?

The handsome devil she is sitting with — and eyeing kind of apprehensively — is Seance Plum, made for me by the awesome shannachka as a welcome gift (read: bait ;D) to the world of Berry Sweets.

Seance and Iris have just moved in, pooling their funds together to afford a house in Berryville, despite being mere acquaintances. Will love bloom? Can I write their story without being cliché and/or cheesy? Only time will tell.

Don’t worry, this is the last legacy I will start. Now I have 3 separate save games to play so I won’t get bored. :] I’ll do my best to rotate their stories evenly. That said, welcome to what I’m very affectionately naming my Noob rainbowcy!

Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately! I’ve been going through my back-up stockpile CC to try and get it all sorted, plus to figure out what I really want in my game and and not. So basically, this is taking a while. I’ll post things when I get that done.
